Conflict Minerals Statement by 3T Mining LTD
As a responsible participant in the metals industry we are aware of the seriousness of the humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
In accordance with Section 1502 of the U.S Dodd Frank law governing conflict minerals 3TMining LTD have taken several steps to identify and assess the risks in our supply chain and are making continued efforts to verify that all minerals are from conflict free areas.
We are fully committed to avoiding the use of conflict materials which directly or indirectly finance or benefit the illegal trade in such areas.
As a result of this we have developed Conflict Minerals Policy of our company and implicated the following policies and procedures.
All our suppliers must support and follow the OECD Due Diligence Guidelines for Responsible supply chains as well as conforming to strict EICC rules.
To prevent any conflict materials being unknowingly purchased by 3TMining we do not engage in any purchases of tantalite. All of our tantalite comes exclusively from our mine in Wampeo, Wakiso district, Uganda. Any shift in operations will be accompanied by relevant clauses in our Policy, such as instructing all suppliers to issue a conflict free policy along with confirmation of material origin with every delivery. Corresponding policy reference will be stipulated in our contractual terms of purchase as well.
Two of our managers are specifically assigned to continuously monitor all company activities at all levels to ensure our company operations comply with our conflict free policy and all international standards. Please contact them as below:
